Brian & Fay McGuigan
Brian and Fay are true legends of the Australian Wine Industry and two of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. Even with breakneck pace of their super busy lives, their achievements and the wealth they have created, they have time for everyone and for the simple pleasures and family values of life.
Brian McGuigan A.M
Retired Managing Director of McGuigan Simeon Wines Limited, Brian has been at the forefront of the Australian wine industry for more than 35 years. Brian is one of the wine industry’s most versatile and well-known figures, utilising his skills as a winemaker, viticulturist, marketer and communications specialist to ensure national and international success of his wines.
His career is marked by outstanding achievements and a strong commitment to the community. In 1988 Brian was awarded the Order of Australia Medal. He was awarded Businessman of the Year for NSW for 1997 and was recipient of the Ernst & Young Eastern Region Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002. Brian is the current Chairman of the Calvary Mater Hospital.
Fay McGuigan
As one of the pioneers of wine export, Fay has been hailed as an ambassador for Australian wine in International markets. Her involvement in the export industry has earned her awards around the world, honoured in the NSW Telstra Business Woman of the Year.
In 1999, Fay was honoured with an Australian Export Heroes Award by the Australian Institute of Export. She has also served on the committee of the Prime Ministers Supermarkets to Asia council, chaired by Prime Minister John Howard. Fay was also awarded an Australian Medal to commemorate the Centenary of Federation of Australia (Centenary Medal). Fay takes pride in having exported 50 million litres of her Company’s Australian Wine.
Fay and Brian now look forward to assisting in the community to help reduce burdens wherever possible.
